The Auvigue family comes from a long line of producers, dating back to the 17th century. The Jean-Pierre Auvigue estate produces a variety of wines from several appellations, including Beaujolais, Maconnais and Pouilly-Fuissé, the region's most celebrated wine. The family’s portfolio of wine includes: La Frérie, a wine produced from limestone soils creating a lifted, chiseled wine; Les Chailloux, grown on more clay soils, which gives a deeper, richer and more overtly structured wine; and their Vieilles Vignes cuvée, a wine produced from vines that are at least 50-years-old and grown on both clay, limestone and flint soils which offers excellent balance.
